I had been to the Grand Canyon once… it was cold and we didn’t go more than a few feet beneath the rim… I was underwhelmed. But growing up in Arizona, the canyon always held a special place in my imagination, so finally (seven years after I left AZ) I went back. I’m so glad I did, I was in awe the entire time and left with the conviction that everyone should hike it once in their life! If you’re considering it, just go!
